Welcome to the Harford County CAC
 

The Harford County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a multi-disciplinary, child-friendly place which has been operational since August of 1993. We are committed to “best practices” in the investigation and intervention of crimes against children. The CAC attained full membership (accreditation eligible) with the National Children’s Alliance in 1998 and was re-accredited in the spring of 2005. Our team consists of a Coordinator, Forensic Interviewers, Family Advocates, Therapists, a Pediatrician, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement, as well as Assistant State’s Attorneys.

MISSION: The mission of the Harford County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is to investigate allegations of child maltreatment while providing services and resources for the abused child and his/her family.

VISION: To serve as a recognized community expert providing competent and effective investigations and resources in a child first and friendly atmosphere for all abused and exploited children while providing proactive education and prevention programs.

VALUES & PRINCIPLES:

Commitment: A pledge to provide thorough investigations and services with a professional and sensitive approach.

Advocacy: A pledge to maintain a child first family supportive atmosphere while coordinating community resources that include education and prevention.

Collaboration: A pledge to continue strong collaborative relationships by utilizing a respectful multi-disciplinary team building approach, and encouraging confidential communication between partnering organizations and local communities.

On Sunday, April 18th Chesapeake Harley - Davidson will host a bike ride to benefit the Harford County Child Advocacy Center. The ride will take place during Chesapeake Harley- Davidson Birthday Bash Weekend!

Please join us in raising awareness on child sexual abuse!

Doors open at 10:00 with lots of food!!!

Live music to start at noon- 4:00 p.m.

Bike ride is set to start @ 11:00 with a police escort until 1 p.m. $ 20.00 per rider.

There will be a raffle drawing $5.00 per 1 ticket or $ 20.00 for 5 tickets.The raffle give away is a 2 night stay at the Beach Plaza Hotel w/ a $100.00 gift card to a restaurant! You do not need to be present for the drawing.

Winner responsible for any applicable taxes and gratuity.

We would like to thank Phillips Food for their generous donation!!!

Also, we would like to thank Chesapeake Harley- Davidson for all their support!!!

All proceeds from the event benefit Harford Friends of the CAC.
