How often should I change my oil?
Most cars ever 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. But there are some exceptions. If you drive less than 3000 in a year twice a year is fine, and if you drive more than 20,000 mile in a year every 5000 miles is fine. Also if you use synthetic oil 6 mouths or 6000 miles becomes the rule. Manufactures intervals may be longer but remember, thru our experience we recommend these intervals to keep you car running as long as you own it.
What kind of oil should I use in my car?
There is no one best oil . In many case the correct oil grade is written on your oil cap. Or a tag under the hood, But if not at SUNNY SUNOCO we use an online service and look up the correct oil for your car. According to your cars manufacture.
Do I need synthetic oil?
Not unless your manufacture recommends it ,or you live or travel to a very hot or cold climate. [ below -30 f or above 105 f ]
How often should I check my tire pressure?
We suggest at least once a month. Low tire pressure waste gas and cause tires to wear out faster. Remember that our Pitt Crew is always happy to check your tire pressure any time you stop by.
Can I tell by looking at my tires if they are low?
No . You need an accurate gauge. And we are happy to check your tires any time. Just stop in and ask, AIR SERVICE IS FREE [our pit crew do appreciate tips.
I hear a funny noise, what should I do?
Stop in any time during the work day, pull right in front of the office door and we will be happy to test run the car with you and make an appointment to fix your problem.
I am going on a trip should I have my car looked at before I go?
If your car is due for regular service we recommend making an appointment 3 or 4 day before your trip. If is not ready for service stop in 1 or 2 days before your trip for a quick Courtesy Check. We will check tire pressure, all fluids, lights, and wiper blades. We want to make sure you have a safe trip.
