Bay Buddies is an exciting summer camp for children with severe disabilities that typically prevent them from attending traditional camps. The Arc Baltimore partners with Living Classrooms Foundation, Baltimore City and Baltimore County Public Schools, and Baltimore County Parks and Rec to identify specific goals that the child has been working on during the school year. Activities are tailored to the specific needs of each child. Currently 100 children participate in Bay Buddies each summer from Battle Monument, Maiden Choice, Ridge Ruxton, W.S. Baer, and George WF McMechan Schools.

Bay Buddies is supported entirely by contributions and grants. Thanks to all our donors to this special program: Allegis Group Foundation, Baltimore City Schools, Battelle, Care Foundation (Caldwell Banker) The John J. Leidy Foundation, The Macht Family Philanthropic Fund, The Thomas W. Bradley Foundation, Venable Foundation, The Wachovia Foundation, and the Ellen Wasserman Foundation.

Camp for Everyone. The Arc Baltimore collaborates with Baltimore's Child magazine every March in their annual Camp Fair and offers a Camp for Everyone section. The Arc of Baltimore is again sponsoring the Camp for Everyone section on Saturday, March 6th. Day and overnight camps for children with special needs as well as programs for teens and adult travel services will be featured. The fair runs from 12-3 at the Crowne Plaza in Timonium.
