Dear Neighbors, Welcome to the Web site for the United Methodist churches of Harford County. We greet you in the name of Jesus the Christ and invite you to come worship and fellowship with us. You will see that there is great variety among our churches in the area and surely one that will meet your needs. The United Methodist Church is a denomination that is connectional and diverse. We work together all over the world involved in mission and ministry to brothers and sisters everywhere. This denomination is known for its missional efforts across the globe and each of our congregations is involved locally, nationally and globally in helping those in need.
Here in the Baltimore-Washington Conference, which is made up of 680 congregations, we are very involved right now in relief efforts in Haiti, and continue to send mission teams to the Gulf coast and Appalachia as well. Our largest provide full programs, self-help and recovery groups, nurseries and pre-schools, wide varieties of worship, and excellent facilities for scouts, recreation, concerts, and teen centers. Our smallest churches offer a family chapel atmosphere where if you miss a week of church, you get a phone call making sure you are okay. We also have every size in between. Greetings to Brothers and Sisters in Harford County and surrounding areas We are glad you are reading information on the United Methodist Church in Harford County. We have 35 congregations in the county or close by, each uniquely suited to meet needs of individuals and families. We have arranged them by town and included web links so that you might explore various congregations. The United Methodist Church is a connectional church meaning all of our congregations are connected to one another through the Baltimore Washington Conference. As a result, we do great things in our region of the country as well as the world in meeting human needs.
